Pleroma is very popular in Europe, and Mastodon seems to be dominant everywhere. The #2 and #3 largest fedi instances (by activity) use Pleroma and are American. The #1 seems to be Pawoo!
I'm French and I use Pleroma, which is popular for small instances.

@benjaminbellamy @Castopod They don't certify that analytics weren't altered, either. The only thing they certify is that the podcast host's code calculates analytics in accordance with the specification. Interesting fact: the specification is so loosely written, you could easily see 20% variation from different IAB-certified hosting companies. Interesting fact #2: certification costs $35,000.
