I plan to stream #guix and #rde development and related topics every working day for one month.
A little intimidated.

@abcdw that'd be cool! I'd also love to stream more regularly but there's so little time
@daviwil Yep, it's always so little time, but I think right now I have the capability and possibility to stream for one month, so let's see how it goes.
BTW, if you have some tips on how to make my streams better - let me know, please :)
@dgr The nice thing about guix and rde is that you don't need to start over and over again, you continue where you stopped writing a configuration last time ;)
@abcdw Still stuck going from #rde img / #guix install to working rde system. One issue is that I still don't understand guix and the other is that I can't spend time until I cracked the nut in one sitting. So I'm starting over all the time - which was good for testing the rde img documentation ;)
Reminds me of around 20 years ago when I reinstalled #gentoo over and over until I got it working for me.
@abcdw so maybe a get going steam with the new #rde release? Completely selfless suggestion of course 🤣
@dgr You know, it's very likely to happen, maybe not very soon, but still. Especially if I stream everyday and there will demand on this topic.
But before spreading the word about rde and getting more people involved, I would like to polish development processes and cleanup some legacy, to make it possible to scale up and not to choke, when much more patches, questions and discussions will appear on mailing lists and IRC.
@abcdw That is why I started to invest in it but first I think you need to get to a point, where you initially check in your config and push to your sr.ht . I'm now trying to get it to this point in a VM and If I managed I will try to do a native install on my laptop even to it could get tricky because of wlan and nvidia.
So, IMHO, from install to first reboot into own config and check in & push could help guix newcomers a lot in getting into the workflow and understanding how the parts work.
@abcdw I need to catch up on your more recent streams, will let you know if I think of anything!
